About Rajeswari Sainath:

Rajeswari Sainath has been performing for more that 3 and 1/2 decades is the desciple of Smt.Indira Rajan of Chennai and had advanced training by Mridangam Maestro Guru Karaikkudi Mani in the nuances and intricacies of Laya.

Rajeswari is a performer par excellence, who is known for her strict adherence to tradition while adapting to the changing contemporary scenario. She is, at once traditional in thought and modern in outlook. Her greatest strength is her versatality in handling both strictly traditional as well as modern presentation with equal dynamism. With this rare blend of virtues, Rajeswari has enthralled audiences, the world over including North America, South America, Canada,Australia,k Sweden, germany, London, South East and other Asian Countries.

Rajeswari has expanded her horizons to include fusion works. Rajeswari has collaborated with Jazz and classical artistes from the West, including the World famous Australian Art Orchestra and has presented innovative presentations, for discerning audiences.

Rajeswari has conducted Seminars and Lecture demonstrations in India and abroad.
To mention a few are in ISB, Madras University/ Chennai, Telugu University/ Hyderabad, CCRT/HRD/Govt of India, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan/ London, Monash university/ Australia, Brown University/ USA.

Her spiritual devotion and passion for dance has resulted in many ballet productions such Geetha Upadesham, Bhajare Gopalam, Shakuntala Prema Kavya, Soundarya Lahiri, etc.,

Rajeswari's strong mathematics and grammatical techniques in Laya resulted in rare thematic presentation in unusual rhythm patterns which have not been earlier attempted in Bharathanatyam.

Rajeswari is the Director of the centre for performing art Sruthilaya Kendra Natarajalaya (SLKN) founded by Mridangam Maestro Guru Karaikkudi Mani. It has got its centers in India at Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kerala and also in Australia US and Canada. She has trained more than 500 students who inturn are spreading the culture of Bharathanatyam around the globe. She has choreographed several Ballet productions.    

Recognizing her contribution to dance, she has been conferred with many awards.

Rajeswari is a double graduate in Commerce, law and a post graduate in management studies.
