is the Director of the centre for performing art Sruthilaya
Kendra Natarajalaya (SLKN) founded by Mridangam Maestro
Guru Karaikkudi Mani. It has got its centers in India at
Chennai, Hyderabad , Bangalore , Kerala and also in Australia
and London . She has trained more than 500 students who
inturn are spreading the culture of Bharathanatyam around
the globe. She has choreographed several Ballet productions.
Launched more than 85 students as solo performers. Students
have received National Merit Scholarship In Dance from Dept
of Culture, Government Of India in Senior Section and CCRT,
Government Of India in Junior Section. They are also trained
in the art of nattuvangam, costume designing, special training
in choreography and rare rythm patterns for dance under
the guidance of Guru. Kaaraikudi Mani Iyer. Many have taken
up to dancing as their profession and few have taken up
teaching dance as profession.
